Charles called this morning. Dr. Detterbeck feels that surgery is not an option at this time because of the tumor growth that has taken place over the last 2 months or so. However, he would still like to talk to us regarding my options. Charles seems to feel that if we can shrink some of the larger tumors with chemo or other drugs, surgery may yet be an option in the future. In the meantime, I'm grateful that Dr. Detterbeck would like to meet with us. It will be interesting to get his take on things.
Thanks to all of you for your support and prayers. I'm doing well in spite of the craziness! You know the poem, "Footprints in the Sand"? If you look behind me, I'm sure there's only one set of footprints . . .
My eyes filled up with tears as I opened this page and saw the beautiful pictures of the two of you together, along with your wonderful children. You can see the love you have for one another. I think of your family often and you are always in my prayers. Your love is inpsirational.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe we've ever met, but I was Cameron's school nurse for a couple of years before I moved over to Maple East last fall and now work with Ken. I have been following your postings this past week, and find your news and Faith inspiring and uplifting, despite your obvious hurdles. I am sure there is only 1 set of footprints, otherwise you wouldn't be the amazing woman you obviously are. You have been and will continue to be in my daily prayers!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of you all the time! I love you guys!!!
